Cardamom
Why Cardamom Quality is Important? Cardamom is one of the world's most valuable and aromatic spices, widely used in food, beverages, confectionery and spice blends. Cardamom contains natural essential oils, particularly 1,8-cineole and ?-terpinyl acetate, which contribute to its distinctive aroma and flavour. The quality of cardamom depends on factors such as pod size, colour, aroma, moisture, seed quality and cleanliness. High-quality cardamom should have well-developed pods, a strong natural aroma, good colour and minimal defects. Proper grading helps separate cardamom according to pod size, colour and overall quality. Cardamom is available as whole pods, seeds and cardamom powder. Essential oil content is an important quality factor because it contributes significantly to cardamom's characteristic aroma and flavour.

- Packaging: Use clean, strong and moisture-resistant food-grade packaging suitable for international transportation.
- Storage: Store cardamom in a cool, dry and well-ventilated environment, away from moisture, direct sunlight and strong odours.
